With the site connected to the River Kwai, a private resort in Kanchanburi, Thailand was designed as a harmonious extension of river, surrounded by a tropical forest landscape. Individual guest buildings (6) were arranged around a large lawn plinth extending to the river with new reflection ponds. Privacy to the resort was provided by a series of orchestrated feature walls, which along with new landscape and reflection ponds, provided a welcoming arrival. Dining pavilions and pools provided communal amenities, set within a garden setting.
